Guidelines for the contributors

  • Indian Historical Studies invites original research articles in the field of Social Sciences with special reference to History.
  • Authors should follow the internationally accepted research methodology.
  • Articles should be about 7000 words, typed in double line space including the endnotes.
  • Use of relevant photographs, sketches, diagrams and statistical information will be appreciated.
  • British English usage is to be followed ('colour' not 'color', 'centre' not 'center').
  • The author of the article should declare in writing that his/her article is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere for publication.
  • The author of the article should send three hard copies and a soft copy of his/her article.
  • The Editorial Board has the right to edit or revise the text if necessary.
  • It is essential that the author should give his/her e-mail ID, mobile or landline numbers to (help the Chief Editor to contact the author regarding corrections in the article) arrive at necessary clarity and corrections.
  • The views published in the article will exclusively be the views of the author and he or she will remain responsible for all legal implications involved in his/her opinions, statements and writings in the article.
  • Authors of Research Books are invited to send their recently published works in History for Book Review.
  • Kindly inform the change of address, if any, to the Chief Editor.
  • DD for subscription should be drawn in favour of the Research Fund, Department of History, St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli - 620 002.
