All should cooperate to maintain an atmosphere conducive to study; they should take every care not to disturb anyone, especially at times of study and sleep.

Since all are Post-Graduate students, serious study habits are expected from them. Strict silence is to be observed from 9.00 pm. to 7.00 am. on all days. This silence time begins with prayer/song, played over the Public Address System. All the students are to stand outside their rooms for this prayer.

Absence from the Hostel after 9.00. pm. without the Director's permission is a serious fault. Those who wish to attend courses outside SJC campus will do so after getting written permission from the Director. An atmosphere of silence is to be maintained in the hostel permises in the forenoon hours, so that serious study which is expected of post-graduate students is possible for all. Day scholars are not to permitted to enter the hostel premises. Smoking in the hostel/College campus is strictly forbidden.

Discipline:

Responsibility and self-discipline are the only means to success in life and these are necessary for community living. To help the students acquire responsibility and self-discipline and with a view to providing order and harmony in the hostel campus and an atmosphere for hard work and study, the following guidelines are presented.
